Welcome to Shore Yoga: a beach lover’s yoga studio located on the peninsula in the heart of Newport Beach and Southern California’s first stand up paddle and yoga studio. Come to Shore and let your stress drift away with the tide. Our intuitive and passionate instructors teach everything from relaxing restorative to fiery flows. Classes for all levels, from first time beginners to life-long yogis!
Shore Flow is a vinyasa-based yoga class choreographed by each individual teacher to be a unique experience, often with a special focus of inspiration or intention. Vinyasa is sanskrit for “step by step” or “breath to movement”. In this style class, each move or step has a coordinating inhale or exhale. The pace of the flow and advancements of the postures depends on the level of difficulty indicated for that time slot. Individual modifications and assistance can be offered to those students with injuries or health issues. This class style will navigate oxygen into every cell of your body; it will de-stress and re-energize your mind, body and spirit.
Restore Shore Yoga
Restore Shore is a yin-based yoga class. The familiar yin-yang is seen as a symbol of balance between opposites. The yin side of the spectrum is the cool, slow, calm portion of the whole. For those of us running around all day, checking off the to-do list, burning through the day with a yang intensity, this class is the perfect balance for you. It will help to “take a chill pill” and check some meditation off that to-do list. Unlike our yang-style vinyasa-based flow classes, you hold the postures for an extended period of time in the Restore Shore class. This class will help you to embody the yin-yang balance. It will complement the high-energy activities of our day with some time to live purely & simply in the present moment, diving deep into mind & body.
Private Yoga sessions are a great way to set aside time for you, learn more about yoga, and fit your busy schedule.
Private sessions are tailor made to fit your needs and can include alignment training, breathwork, meditation, relaxation practices, as well as conversations on yoga and philosophy.
All levels are encourages and welcomed.
Sessions are taught by certified yoga instructors and can be held in the studio or at your home or office.
